Unusual single pedestal desk by the furniture maker Hobbs and Co, London. Mahogany with original brass fittings. Well stamped with makers name. This desk has been used in a work setting, possibly a school or government building. It has general wear and tear and the green inset has scratching and marking. The lower skirting areas have originally been painted or stained black, there is now discolouration to these areas.
