19th Century Pig or Buffalo Skin Rawhide Mill Bucket
A very simple, strong traditional design which was used in cotton mills around UK and Europe, before the invention of cardboard and plastics. The rawhide was stitched and bent by hand to create a watertight structure. Literally a work of art.
Individual original period hand painted numbering.
They have been sourced direct from the mill and are in good however worn and used condition. As shown in the photos.
